The Teen Challenge Program

Eligibility Requirements
  • Be willing to consider an interdenominational Christian treatment approach
  • Have a substance abuse problem or a life control problem
  • Be aged 16 or over
  • Be committed to complete the program
Application Procedure
Attend an interview any Monday to Friday (except public holidays) at our Perth Office.

Approved applicants will be placed on the waiting list pending available bed space and must complete medical examination prior to admission.

Program Structure
Includes lectures, character development, relational guidance, social skills and recreation. To emphasise the educational aspect of the program, Teen Challenge refers to its residents as 'students'. The student is tutored in developing positive attitudes, trustworthiness, concern for others and a strong sense of responsibility.

  • Residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
  • Developing structured lifestyle.
  • Learning personal disciplines.
  • Reforming relationships.
  • Vocational program for developing work ethic.
  • Learning respect for authority.
  • Learning self-respect and self-esteem.

What new residents can expect.
  • Immediate removal of all addictive substances including cigarettes.
  • A highly disciplined program demanding a cooperative attitude.
  • Mandatory participation in all aspects of the program on a daily basis.
